Yes. It has been a long road. You made it through w/ honor & dignity in spite of all the BS & ugliness that mucked up the way out. You are a sort of hero to me for that AND for your service to our free country. Thank you, Captain! Thank you for all your help. Now you are free to do whatever you want. When was the last time you dared to dream of what could be? Feels weird, huh? But, soooo cool! Go for it! Whatever it is, go for it! Pamstegram, I love what you said & it's so very true: "Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." Love to all, blou
the day that the va called and told me i was virus undetectable was the same day i lost over a decade of personal and product pics to a crappy pc . screw those pics -- its a new day . feeling like a new person . liver is cool , swelling gone , no rain in the forecast for the alice cooper concert tomorrow .. happy 4th to everyone . america is still a pretty dam free country . i just travelled to chicago and back and hardly saw a lawman .. thats a big deal as i drive some pretty wild looking s*it , and drove thru a million small towns ..
All I can say is HepC, begone! Hope and prayers from here in Little Rock the fancy drugs plus your healthy lifestyle (and attitude :-) do the trick.
(And, I've been living WAY too sheltered a life. MY bike is the pedal-powered type, but it's going for a spin if I can get my paperwork and laundry caught up this weekend!)
Gosh Cap'n, I have news for you, some of those Harley's have been pretty mongrelized too. A bike that hasn't been washed since '85 would win first prize at Sturgis. The only thing better would be if the rider wasn't washed either. LOL
lol , sturgis . fun time for all involved im sure but ike and i are not the biker crowd . ike is made up of yamaha , honda , chevy , dodge , toyota , nissan , ford , and encased in about half of a 275 gallon fuel oil tank . brush painted and hasnt been washed since 1985 . the greasy road grime keeps bolts from seizing in aluminum . enough horsepower to blow those shiny harleys over backwards ..
Just to add ive never flirted with a guy but being cooped up here for a long time with this illness sure makes you change your ways!! Yep get out there and make the most of it now am going to learn how to flirt!!
" flirt with everything that moves " lol im thick in the head . the only thing that gets my attention is a dress with no undergarments . ( ex ) wifey usedta pull that s*it on me in the garage . be the immediate end of valve lifter adjustments for a while ..
Everyman that moves i mean!! If I dont have even one guy look my way ill be coming home in a right state! Its scary being out there again after caregiving i dont think people realise that "normal" becomes a bit scary after years of doing this! I mean when someone asks me "what do you do?" what do you say? im a caregiver for my mum whos got dementia? thats a depressing one! maybe just say i do nothing i spend "dads" money and im an hieress to a pork king? yep out there talking to people strangers is going to be tough but i cant wait. Feel like ive been living on a different planet for 5yrs!
Captain i am going to do a healing for you with "candles" just let me know if you notice a difference? Will have to consult my friend as shes good at this but cant hurt and worked for me! I just happen to have a green candle so ill light it. She did this for me when i couldnt walk with back pain and havnt had much pain since? I know a guy who had Hepc hes fine now and that was a good few years ago! I light a candle in church for everyone here every week im not very religious but i believe there is a "higher power" and im keeping in with them all just in case!! You need a break some "you" time. Go to Germany something to look forward to! Im so happy just for a week in spain im going to enjoy it like its my last week alive!! And am going to get drunk every day on sangria and flirt with everything that moves!!
nansa, my post doesnt tell the whole story . i just completed a 12 week regimen of olysio , sovaldi , and ribavirin that stomped hepc on day 10 . really happy today but about exhausted from the whirlwind of it all .. i recheck viral load in 12 weeks . if still undetectable , considered a cure . i d*mn well feel it ..
Captain, I am sorry that you are upset today. Just know that your advice is always so refreshing and makes me laugh out loud. Even though I do not know you, I can feel your pain through your post. Your care of your mother and your aunt are to be commended. You hung in there when I could not. You are a strong, caring person. Do not let anyone else tell you anything different.
