Stuck on this:
"When we were at our worst"

When was that?

I think it is now for me.

It's okay, because there is just so much more room for improvement.

Llamalover,
Hang in there!
I know everybody is different, and experiences Parkinson's different too.
I wanted to just say that our elderly neighbor (much older than you) would freeze up and not be able to move. Hours later, we would see him zooming by with his walker headed somewhere, all in the same day. Massage helped.

There were other times his brain would cause him to not be able to take the next step up the stairs. (hello, brain to feet.) We observed that he once threw his hat
ahead of him into the room, and that made him able to move, focusing on getting the hat. Later, we made orange feet to place on the stairs and placed them in front of him as he went up. This worked, maybe to wake up or remind his brain to move.

Hoping that somehow, you will feel comforted that there are going to be work-a-rounds that will help you keep on moving well into the future.

Please stay in touch as often as you can.

Gershun,
That arthritis pain can be difficult. It seems to have a life of it's own, hurting with or without medication. Then hurting worse like when trying to open a jar.
Or wiping you out after just a little healthy walk. Or even hurting more after resting a bit too long.

Is that similar to what happens to you?

Instead of giving up or just crashing on the couch, allow yourself some rest, be kinder and forgiving of your body, and keep on moving. Even if it is sometimes from the couch, to the bathroom, to the refrigerator, to the mailbox and back.
There is no guilt in needing to take it easy in between your chores. imo.

My arthritis pain comes and goes. It gets better at times.

Does chocolate help?

Thx Send, you are always so supportive.

There is no pattern to my arthritis that I have noticed. I just feel sore most of the time. I try to not let it get me down cause that obviously doesn't help.

Chocolate just helps to make me fatter. :P
