SYNERGY HomeCare of Waupaca is truly a family business. Diane and Kevin Baker, brother and sister team, have been taking care of their own parents as they deal with the challenges of aging. Through their personal experiences, Diane and Kevin understand the pain and frustration of watching a loved one’s health deteriorate. They also understand how difficult it can be to ask for help and to recognize the true scope of a loved one’s needs. This experience led them to open SYNERGY HomeCare of Waupaca. "When my own parents needed help, I wanted them to get the very best care possible," said Kevin. "I got into the home care business so that my family and others could get the quality care that they deserve. I feel my personal experience gives me the unique ability to make a difference in people's lives."

Caring for an aging parent or family member can be exhausting, difficult and lonely work but, you are not alone. Every day, adult children have to make difficult decisions about the care of their parents. Beginning a search is the first step of an emotional struggle filled with doubts and concerns. Am I making the right choices? Who can I trust? How can I balance work and life with my own family while trying to provide care for aging parents? When I feel overwhelmed by responsibilities, where do I turn?
SYNERGY HomeCare focuses on non-medical home care for people of all ages. We provide companionship, homemaking, and personal care in the comfort of your home. We serve seniors looking to maintain a normal, healthy, active lifestyle. We serve the developmentally disabled, those suffering from debilitating illnesses and injuries, expectant mothers, and even provide childcare services. We also provide short-term help for those needing assistance after surgery or during recovery, or for transportation and care for outpatient procedures.
We can relate to people who worry about their parents who live far away because we have done it for years and continue to do it with our parents. We especially understand the challenges of staying in touch and knowing what's happening with your parent. At SYNERGY HomeCare, we provide you with the communication and connection you need when you live a long distance from your loved one.
Where We Can Help - We will go where you need us. We can come to your home, assisted living facility or nursing home, and provide one-on-one services during hospital stays. SYNERGY helps with hospital discharges, to ensure the client is taken home, settled in at home, has picked up all their medications at the pharmacy, has been fed, the fridge and pantry have been checked for expired food and there are clean linens on the bed. We also help to ensure our clients are compliant with discharge orders.
Our Caregivers - Providing compassionate and high-quality caregivers is a personal priority for us. We personally screen and interview every single caregiver on our team. Our caregivers are all employees of the company, bonded and insured, have passed a national background check, are certified in CPR and First Aid, and are TB Tested. Our caregivers take care of our own parents, and we choose each and everyone one of them carefully. After matching you with a caregiver, we will closely monitor the caregiving relationship, with phone and in-person "quality visits".
