If you'e looking for male companionship while your husband who has dementia is still living, there's a guy in my over-55 community whose wife has told him she will no longer have sex with him. He is very open about finding a woman who will, and he has been asking around. This would include wine, dinner (she probably would have to cook it), cuddling, the inevitable, and all on a continuing basis. He has every intention of staying married to his wife.

You might be able to find someone like that. He propositioned me on a park bench. I said no, and he wondered why (since he is such a good catch, if you could call it a catch when all he wants is a side piece). I told him that I love my husband and intend to stay faithful though my husband is in memory care and can no longer walk or talk. He seemed surprised that this sort of fidelity exists.

Go hang out in a park and see what turns up. His name starts with D and he has a goatee. My neighbor may be in his wife's book club. Good luck!

You really need to give more info.

Are you a man or woman looking for personal companionship? You won't find it here. We are Caregivers sharing experiences with others.

Are you a family member looking for a companion for a LO? We are not an employment agency. You will need to look for agencies in your area.

If you mean you need friends, check out your local churches and senior centers. If you need to hire a companion there are services locally you can check out.
