Hi everyone. Been here before. My husband has Alzheimer's. I have been caring for him since diagnosis in2019.My sister's husband has Parkinson's and is now in a nursing home. Someone close to me asked if I thought my sisters situation is worse than mine. I think they are just different circumstances that we deal with on a daily basis out of love. I was taken aback from that question that was asked of me. What do you think?
With that being said, I did some caregiving years ago, I took care of someone once with Parkinson's , just to fill in for someone else, and I told her I would never fill in again . There was just something very sad about it, but I would never say what she said even if I felt like it could be true.
Who in the WORLD would compare such things. Is there somewhere a chart of measurements about the things that can happen to us. Where having a severe stroke gets more points than say being blind????
I would say that I simply have no way to measure what is worse or better for people. WAY out of my job description.
that asked me this, I was in disbelief.
