I have an attorney. He's my siblings are dangerous (from upper middle class area). I am the only one who has my own estate and am highly educated but am battling a serious health condition. My mom has mental illness. She, consistent with past wills left me personal items. My dad is acting as executor. I think he is afraid of my siblings. He how is violent but never was before. I want to protect him, yet I also want what my mom left me for sentimental reasons. I finally have a copy of the will. I don't want to become adversaries with my dad. He's very touchy abt his dementia as he used to be brilliant, just lost his wife, and has other children preying upon him
& I mean it's bad but he Is afraid. And he gets mad, as my mom did, if anyone tries to help him. Any suggestions?

My mom who was married to my dad left a will & she had SEVERE mental illness. Ok I'd rather not go info detail. Sorry, I'm still grieving and must have accidentally written as if she were still alive. However, in the state where she died , the named executor (I just got a copy of the will long after the deadline for it to be filed in court in her state & given to all relevant parties, which would include me, making my brother guilty there of a felony-and anyone who had the copy of hrs valid will, eg my dad who said he thought he was exector for concealing it from the court). If the will were just being executed, I wouldn't be concerned but my able bodied brother has a long criminal
History of violence and I am now aware he was preying on my mom but I can't discuss that evidence yet. Adult protective services and the local police have been written up in the paper for ignoring countless abused adults who ended up dead. I know. I found this out when staying with my family for medical treatment. I got the #*?! beaten outta me. No one would help, a small over educated women who never even got a speeding ticket and was attached to tubes. He's dangerous. Period. My dad is afraid of him. He won't admit it and instead lets him take thousands of $$$ to avoid his wrath.

I am also confused. Brother is dangerous? Is he a threat to Dad? If so, contact Adult Protective Services, if they find brother is a threat, he could very well be frozen from being executor. Is there a successor named if brother is stopped?

Yes, I have a suggestion. Let the executor of mom's Will do his job. It is too late to do anything about that. It is what it is.

Sorry - I'm confused.

The title of your post states that your mother is deceased, but in the post you write that your mother has mental illness. Do you mean she had it when she was alive? Or is there a stepmother involved?

You also state in the title that your "dangerous brother" is executor but in the post itself you state the your father is acting as executor. Who's named as executor (actually known now as Personal Representative)?

Is your brother preventing what your mother allocated to you in her will?
