You know, it is kinda weird for an aide to want to see people’s gifts.

I will say this was truly a magnificent bouquet of flowers that anyone who came into the room would marvel at and comment on. But to knock on the door asking to see the flowers 5 minutes after they know I got there is out of what I would consider "normal". On the other hand maybe the aide is just like that. Me and my father weren't bothered at all by it.

No shit. Talk about totally overthinking the situation.

Maybe the aide simply adores flowers. I wouldn’t read anything more into it.

You said that you marveled at the beautiful flowers too. I have done the same thing when I see an exquisite floral arrangement. I am drawn to the beauty of the flowers and the artistic style.

I hope that your dad is enjoying his beautiful flowers.

Lisa, your paranoid. Really, I can't believe u allowed this to bother you. No, aides don't have the time to see how you interact with your Dad. Another aide may have said "you should see the flowers in Mr. Jones room."

I will say though, that since she saw you go into Dads room, she could have waited till u left.

It doesn't bother me. I just found the situation to be out of the norm (like you said, they could have waited for me to leave) and want to know if anyone else thinks that too or has experienced something like that. If I was an aide there would be no way I would interrupt a family visit unless it was necessary.
