Find Care & Housing
My mother has this same thing at 2:00 in the afternoon. We have had good luck using a half dropperfull of CBD tincture. We have started giving it to her at 1:45 so as to get ahead of the behavior. I would say this makes it 70 % easier to deal with. Good luck and God bless!

Yes. This is common for people with dementia. Many people don't have just 'sundowning' when the behavior starts late afternoon, early evening. I've had homecare clients who would get aggressive, start crying, or go into panic attacks at the same time every day. Some would be early in the day. One I had it would always be right after lunch. If it's possible change meal times. If it starts around 11am, then maybe lunch can be served earlier, or breakfast delayed until then? I've found that has helped.

What is he getting for breakfast?  Anything stimulating, such as with high sugars?   And is he taking any meds at breakfast time?
