I am in Southern California. Is there anyone out here who knows about FTD?

Find Care & Housing
I would google support groups for FTD and see if anything pops up. You could also contact a social worker to ask. I found this forum through speaking with a social worker.

Best wishes to you and your husband.

You don't need to be so specific when looking for a support group. Although most will be advertised as Alzheimer/dementia support groups (simply because AD is the major cause of dementia), almost any dementia group will help. The symptoms of dementia span all the cognitive diseases like FTD, VaD, AD, LBD and other lesser known diseases. You'll benefit from attending any dementia related support group you can find.

I don't agree that just any support group works. The Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in Las Vegas has a twice monthly FTD support group in person. Contact the Assoc for FTD for their excellent on line website for help. FTD is a tough one. Be safe.
