Has anyone experienced this? She can talk in her usual tone too. Just wanted to know about where she is at mentally or she has been doing it for a little while. Mostly when tired. But it’s becoming jut a little more frequently.

If Mom hasn’t been to her doctor recently, she needs to go, now. She needs to be tested by a medical professional to see where she’s at and if there are any meds or if any need to be changed. She may be regressing to her early childhood days when she actually did use the child voice. There was a lady at my mom’s nursing home who carried dolls around. (She was my mom’s roommate for a while and I had a heck of a time stopping my mom from taking this poor lady’s “babies”.)

My Mom did this and the neurologist saw no problem with it. Dementia/ALZ patients hallucinate. If she doesn't get upset about it if she doesn't see the child then I wouldn't worry about it. Mom had a little girl. She would call me to reprimand her. When I got to Moms room, the girl had left. Mom would except it.
