Will one set the other? I treat urine by prewashing in vinegar. Usually treat blood by spot treating with oxygen bleach, then pre wash with O2 & borax. So urine is acid prewash, blood is alkaline prewash. Will one set the other?
Not sure how to proceed.
And remember, there's clean and clean enough - in this case I'd opt for just clean enough.
Straight peroxide then rinse with cold water.
Repeat.
Urine I don’t have experience with.
Color test though, I use on everything but denim and don't have any problems. My clothes are brighter and my whites look brand new, they can be as thin as air and still be bright white.
Zout is a great spot cleaner. I have used it to get spots out that have been washed and dried.
Can I recommend that you contact his urologist and ask what is going on. The whole idea is to not have these problems, I know that is not why a cath is inserted but it is the added benefit of them.
It sounds like something is wrong.
Please let us know.
But generally if you should see bright red blood in the catheter bag dad should be taken to the emergency room as this is abnormal.
Urine can splash when the bag is emptied or can stain before the bag is attached to the catheter- while, for instance, if the doctor disconnected the bag/cath to obtain a culture or UA.
A small amount of blood can look like a huge amount when it really is not.

That IS it's brand name.
As far as the stain, my daughter and I recently discovered Nellie's Laundry Powder and we are blown away with the way it cleans. I saw it by chance on HSN, I never order stuff from TV, but was impressed how the enzymes in the powder literally made an iodine stain disappear. I bought some and it really works.
